Coffee mugs, figurines, wind chimes, door signs, vases. Clay can become anything you imagine. At the Clay Workshop (Lerværkstedet) we work with many different types of clay (pottery – stoneware – porcelain) and a cornucopia of beautiful glazes and decoration tools. For firing we have traditional electrical ovens and a raku oven running on gas.

You do not need to have any experience working with clay to use the Clay Workshop. If you just have an idea and the desire to learn, it will be driving force enough for you to start and us to help you. No idea is too big og too small to bring to the workshop, and you will always receive qualified guidance and help from our employees and skilled volunteers.

The workshop has a capacity of 16 users at a time. When you enter the workshop grab an apron from the coat rack – the apron functions as your entry ticket. If there is an apron available, there is room.

The Clay Workshop is both a creative, artistic and social place. Have a cup of coffee and a chat with your fellow potters on the couch, attend our annual Summer and Christmas celebrations and partake in our yearly joint exhibition at the Art Gallery Filosoffen (Kunstbygningen Filosoffen).

There is no lower age limit when using the workshop, though children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

Before you use the workshop for the first time you will have to attend our obligatory introduction course.
